      SERVED IN CIVIL WAR IN 1863 IN SOUTH CAROLINA. WAS PROBABLY KILLED IN
      BATTLE OF MANNASS. INFO FROM HANNAH PECK JOHNSON INDICATES FRANK
      HAD SIBLINGS,NELLIE AND JESSIE.THEY WERE OLD MAIDS WHO LIVED WITH,
      THEIR BROTHER JIM, IN SMITHFIELD, AND ANOTHER SISTER ,MAMIE WHO
      MARRIED UNKNOWN SAUNDERS.

      Info from Sandra Verlander Ballard 7/17/2004= Uncle Jim of Smithfield was Grandaddy's brother. Nellie and Jessie were his daughters. Mamie was Uncle Jim's married daughter.
